Where in the world is Wells?

In the past, a few folks on these inter webs have been known to appreciate Copain wines made by Wells Guthrie. Living far away from the Sonoma region, I have not heard nor have been able to find any updates on Wells. It would be interesting if he was involved with another winery or started up a new venture. Or…he could be under a non-compete clause or could have just retired.

Not trying to be nosy, but anyone got the skinny here? [cheers.gif]

At any rate, I guess Wells has no new projects which I have not heard of, meaning I have no need to seek out a new brand from an old reliable…

Wells is in Somerset County mate. You Yanks need to learn your geography!

I am terrible at geography when no location was mentioned until now…Would that be:

  • Somerset County, Pennsylvania
  • Somerset County, New Jersey
  • Somerset County, Maine
  • Somerset County, England, or
  • Somerset, Australia (mate!) [wow.gif]
