Oh cool, I forgot it was the draft. I thought I won the Pegau. Have tons of that. I do not want the Vatan. I hope 1-18 know Vatan is green thin and weedy shit. I mean really, its from Loire.

Congrats to the winners, and a huge Thank You to Charlie, and everyone who donated wines for the raffle, and all who bought raffle tickets! I am truly blown away at what has been accomplished here.

There is NO WAY both the Vatan & the Rougeard are making it past the 11th round, my friend...

I'd expect the Vatan to be gone, but imo there'll be some Rougeard left. I absolutely ADORE Rougeard but still can't imagine them all going in the top-15 with this impressive lineup of gems.

What a brilliant idea this was, Charlie. And so well executed. Other than Alfert having a ticket pulled instead of me, this was really top shelf. Great work. “But how can I make a difference?” In five days you helped raise $60,000.

are we sure the best way to distribute isnt for the list to get the bottles in the order theyre listed? like... maybe the rousseau should go to the last person on the list...?

haha

but in all seriousness.... Charlie with a response like this what are the chances of another raffle? im sure even from the people within this thread you could get more bottles donated.

Ha. My wife would kill me. I have been totally absorbed in it from wed 2pm until Friday afternoon. She’s had to watch our daughter the whole time while still working.

Hi Charlie,
Can I pass along "my" wine to the next round? I am 34 on the list, and would like to aim for a higher pick the next go-around!

In all seriousness - this was great, and I admire your efforts!

Why so much h8 for poor @lfert? Who else would bottom-feed off of the Loire carrion?

What a brilliant idea this was, Charlie. And so well executed. Other than Alfert having a ticket pulled instead of me, this was really top shelf. Great work. “But how can I make a difference?” In five days you helped raise $60,000.
Roughly 48 hours to be exact ;)
Just bragged you up to my wife! A brilliant idea extremely well executed, and frankly, it was a lot of fun as well.

I believe that 3,000th place went to Chris Barton. Shouldn’t Chris get something? Caymus?
This is what we gave out for last place in a champagne tasting contest we did a few years back...

It will be interesting to see what order things go in...if it's ok to share that? Looking at all the comparisons there's a lot that will fall into personal taste.

Charlie, Thank you so much for doing this. Excellent idea and yet another good cause to support!

And congrats to all who won. There are 35 awesome options.

I’d like to see some pick-trading going on with side deals.

I’m hoping for something along the lines of:
“Michael Chao will trade the 15th pick and a wine to be named later to Andreas Koeberl for the 6th pick and cash considerations.”
