2010 Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot Chevalier-Montrachet- France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (7/5/2020)
A pristine nose of honeysuckle, preserved lemon, white peach and aniseed. The palate is direct, detailed and so minerally. There are layers of flavour and a gentle butteriness. The finish has great cut, is seriously chalky and seriously long.
They were very well priced Kent. Sadly a recent '07 was badly oxidised. In fact I have had a poor run over the last month. Dauvissat '08 Foret was shot two days ago and I just opened an advanced 2010 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne.
