TN: 2002 Marcel Moineaux BdB grand cru

stunning champagne absolutely brimming and bursting with exuberant ripe classy fruit. It’s got superb density and texture, creamy and layered, but barely able to contain the gorgeous fruit that is just overflowing like a quart of maple syrup in a pint sized bowl. It’s got citrus, stone fruits, yellow grapes, a little ginger, spices, not at all oxidative, so fresh. Don’t remember why I bought this—must have been on someone’s recommendation—but thank you, thank you, thank you. Near headspinning.

Just looked up the domaine. 6.30 ha, all grand cru chardonnay, family run over several generations.
