I didn't know that! How to properly pronounce Lore Vineyard (CA)

I was reading an article about Thomas Rivers Brown on the Wine Spectator site. In the article, James Molesworth writes briefly about the '17 Rivers-Marie Lore Vineyard Cab, in which he writes, “…pronounced “lorry” and located at the foot of Dalla Valle…”. Well, color me surprised! I always assumed it was pronounced the same way as the word that is a simile for “mythology.” So, there ya go. Am I the only one who was doing this?

There are so many things in wine that we don’t know how to pronounce.

I love the occasional pronunciation threads we have on here.

It’s not just foreign names that can be mistaken or challenging. For example, I had thought Dehlinger was pronounced with a soft G until one time I called them and heard the correct pronunciation. I also thought Quilceda had the E pronounced like an A sound, but it’s actually like an E sound. And so forth.
