I stopped buying it several hundred dollars a bottle ago. One hit on winesearcher in Hong Kong at over $500 a bottle. Even if it hasn’t hit the U.S. I expected to see it released in Europe.
Sorry. Fu bought it all already.
I am told the winery has asked for it to only be released in September; anything you see prior may be grey market
Rare Wine Co expecting it late fall/early winter. Would assume the same for east coast importers.
Corrected that for you
This always comes out October/November in the US.
What was said above. Maria Teresa releases the Barolo in September. It gets to the US later. Anyone selling it now is banking on their expected allocation to sell, but certainly does not have it in hand.
Out in October
you don’t sample a bottle early on of things you get a case of?

Just “A” case? Did ur allocation get drastically slashed!?
This is one of my fav wines. When I lived in bmore it was November, now that I’m in Boston I don’t see it until Dec/Jan.
I’m in for a case if I can actually put that together. Usually I can only get a handful of bottles at retail.
Bought already as a future via my French source, slated for arrival Sept/Oct.

Do the French gouge the price as much as here in the U.S.?

Not, it’s around 150 EUR… still three times more than I paid for the 2010, but well, that’s how it goes.
