The strangest Clos that I’ve ever had. If I had been drinking this blind, I may have gone to Meursault. None of the edge that I would expect, even from a 10 year old Les Clos. None of the sea breeze, saline qualities of a quality Chablis. Low acid and a profile that could best be described as tropical, this was an enjoyable if atypical Les Clos.
I think you are in the wrong vineyard for the notes you are looking for (saline, sea air), unless you have Louis Michel or another no oak producer, even then Les Clos is Grand Cru for its atypical depth and density vs. other Chablis Grand Crus. While I don’t think it should taste like Meursault it could definitely have qualities to mirror Chassagne.
Sherry notes?
