TN: 2001 Domaine de L'Arlot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots

  • 2001 Domaine de L’Arlot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru (8/19/2020)
Plenty of sous bois and root vegetables on the nose. It has real vinous sweetness in the mouth, with a hint of soy development. Structural elements are gentle and the sweet flavours have a savoury edge. It is only mid-weight at best but thoroughly engaging and wonderful with a dish of Christian Parra Boudin Noir served on a bed of lentils.

Mature Jeremy?

Ready to go.

Jesus I wish stuff like this were more affordable…

Didn’t pay a lot for it on release Josh.

Check out the threads on good value Burgundy. Put down a few mixed cases of Marsannay , Santenay, Mercurey and the like, from good producers, and in 20 years time you’ll have some terrific drinking.
