Shite Year, Nice Wine

Time is a great healer.

1994 Domaine Robert Gibourg Corton-Renardes, Grand Cru: A tertiary nose of damp earth, pine needles and truffle, with a honey-like sweetness. It is not particularly deep or long but it is complex in the mouth, with plenty of savoury nuance. There’s a touch of the vintage’s astringency to the finish.

I always refer to 1994 as doughnut wines, okay start, okay finish, hole in the middle.

So, doughnut buy?

Sorry, trying to get back in CRAIG G’s good graces.

Woof, what a howler.
