I have been to Lucky Palace many times in the past. Excellent food, excellent wine. My brother used to frequent the restaurant way more than I did. He was more of a “food guy” than a “wine guy”.
Lim, the owner, just loves wine in the purest, most generous, and humble manner.
Any visitor to the Lucky Palace found Lim at the bar or on restaurant floor sharing an opened bottle with fellow wine aficionados or deep in discussion about pairings.
In NW Louisiana, it has been a blessing to have such a great gentleman offering delicious food (try the duck!) and the best wine in the state!
What a wonderful article and what a gracious man. I wish Mr. Lim best wishes in his battle with cancer. The wine list looks great and it is so refreshing to see an restauranteur offering wines at such a modest markup.
