3rd and final bottle, and this is has been a joy all three times, being perhaps the best showing of the three. Perfectly ripe Granny Smith apples provide a welcoming and voluptuous entry way, imparting both sensuality and citrus tinted freshness. As it warmed, a spearmint trait emerged and the finish displayed more ‘classic’ Chablis traits – tide pool, that kind of thing. I usually find the maritime stuff to occur early on – and a Chablis richer traits to come on the back half, but it seemed to be reversed here. Certainly in the zone, should hold for 5 years or so. Most excellent. (94 pts.)
