TN: 2017 Eyrie Vineyards Chardonnay

The word I keep reaching for when I drink this is class; this wine is so elegant, refined, and graceful. Flinty on the nose, with lemon peel and a lees-y richness. There’s just the suggestion of roundness on the palate that gives it a sense of place, but it walks the tightrope between acidity and tension and generosity. Just the faintest hint of orange zest-like bitterness on the finish. It’s not overly complex or layered, but it is just really, really good.
