TN: 2016 E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis) Barolo Via Nuova

Complex aromatics of cedar, red fruits, rose petal and spice. The palate is deep and penetrating but very tight. It has a glossy feel and perfectly ripe tannins. It is extremely long and needs cellar time.

Last August In Chiara Boschis winery 2016 wine tasting:
Agree with Jeremy re Barolo Via Nuova 2016. IMO the Barolo Cannubi 2016 had a richer aroma and more elegant palate and velvet tannin. The whole line up was beautiful and my top of the line was the Barolo Cannubi :wine_glass:

Thanks for the update Jeremy. These will get tucked away in the corner for quite some time.

Chiara Boschis did a tasting in Indianapolis in March 2018. Her Barolo Cannubi (2013 perhaps?) was fantastic but out of my price range. I did buy 3 bottles of her 2015 Barbera d’Alba. I drank one last year and it was stellar.

fyi, put some up on Winebid if anyone is trying to source.
