TN: 2015 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Nahe

with gratitude

delightful, lovely wine. light/medium gold light/medium viscosity

tropical fruits wrapped in acid and mineral. the core is rock solid and the mango, papaya and lychee dance with muscle supporting her in the air. they dance as blue stone and wet rock swing in from the sides of the palate. A flash of sweat. Honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of ash lean up against moderate acidity. the vintage will never have enough muscle to hold up the wine forever, but thats splitting hairs.

This sounds wonderful Rob. I am ready for this COVID to be over so that we can get together.

Annually a great wine.

Picked up a few of the 19. Very excited.

Great note. I also have some 2019 Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling GKA (and BA) on the way, and I have no doubt they’ll be fantastic.

Nailed it. [cheers.gif]
And +1 to what Don said.

I have some 2002 and 2005 left in 375s. Maybe I should put them up on Commerce Corner after all!

Great note. 15s have been surprisingly open.

Dönnhoff NH is consistently great, whether Spätlese or Auslese. Your note captures its essence well, Rob.

Cheers

Not to mention the GG…
