TN: 2014 François Lumpp Givry 1er Cru Crausot Blanc

Impressively detailed and powerful with room to grow.

  • 2014 François Lumpp Givry 1er Cru Crausot Blanc - France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Givry 1er Cru (9/27/2020)
Impressively detailed and powerful. Loads of extract. Seems there is much in reserve. Honey, lemon, apple, and a layered, rich palate. Oak is more integrated now. Looong finish that coats the palate. Terrific stuff that could be really something in time if it remains sound.

Thanks for the note! I love those great and serious 1er Cru whites from Lumpp (love the reds too). I’ve never had issues with Lumpp and premox (oldest was 9 years past vintage). Should i be worried?

Also, great pic! I love the composition with the slightly tilted cork and backlit bottle. If I was on any type of social media… i would share that picture! [cheers.gif]

Thanks, Phil!
I was speaking in generalities about the premox in WB, no issues with Lumpp for me!

Thanks for the look in. I picked up a 6 pack of these at wine bid and have not tried yet.

Thanks Dennis. '14 whites are so good!

Good move, I think you will enjoy!

This. Have yet to meet one I didn’t like. A lot.
