2013 D&R Rosewood Petite Sirah

Six plus hours in decanter, enjoyed in Gabriel Universal stems, with grass-fed Carne Asada & baked beans. Honestly, didn’t seem to change much in the decanter.

Wine is entering what should be a lengthy drinking window. It’s less juicy now than the 2012 but still with a high delicious factor. Grippy but not overtly so with a balanced and real, not sweet, finish. I think there were magnums and in that format I’m guessing it easily outlives me.

Five bottles left to savor.

A bottle of this on WineBid this week for anyone interested

Thanks for the note, Glenn. I have not checked in on this one in about 18months or so. The '13 is more tannic than the '12 (and the '15 more tannic than the '13). Mags of these will be put inside my sarcophagus.

So leave my 2015 for a very long time then. [cheers.gif]

Ha! I think so. I need to open another this year “for science”.
