QPR Hall of Fame

QPR is ultimately in the eye of the beholder. It’s a subjective term that can carry tremendous weight. A solid QPR could mean anything from a $15 Red Blend that drinks like a $50 bottle, or a $50 Napa Cabernet that drinks like something much more expensive.

In that spirit - what wines would you place in your own personal QPR Hall of Fame?

Does QPR cap out at $50? A few of my top QPRs are:

Bouchard GC and 1er whites
MM GCs
Aged Ducru
Canon
Dupont-Tisserandot Charmes

Off the top of my head:

Every Chablis from Louis Michel
Faury St. Joseph VV
Most of John Enfield’s wines
Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle
Krug Grande Cuvée
Rosè champagnes from Egly-Ouriet, Dethune, Hebrart, Goutorbe, Vilmart.

If I had time to think about it, I’d probably list many more.

Cheers,

Ive had 2+ cases over 25 years, including last one year where I declare it the best QPR ever:

And gave a couple recos of similar wines. None will surprise.
