I usually have 15-30 tabs open of wines I’m debating if I should buy. I pass on most but thought that there should be a ‘pass it on’ thread when you see a good deal that others might appreciate.
Not looking for coupons. For example, I just opened a 2001 Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva that was wonderful. It sent me looking to buy more recent vintages and saw this mag of 2012 for less than most comparable vintages 750 mL bottles. I bought what I wanted from this and am now passing it on:
My understanding was that the thread Hardy listed is for both deals and coupons. Fore example, when someone noticed that Qupe groupon deal, they posted it there. The thread does get quite a bit clunked down with people spamming their referral links to wine.com or wineaccess or something like that.
But maybe a dedicated thread to just deals without the clutter of referral links or wine.com coupons would be good.
Victor Hong used to have a WineHunter thread for this. Not sure if it’s still active.
