TN: 2014 Montille Meursault Narvaux-Dessus

sealed w a Diam 10, it’s good but not great. Perhaps a bit dilute and unfocused. Citrus but no real Meursault character. Glad I have no more. Hohum.

Shame. Good vintage and vineyard. More renowned for their reds assuming this is Domaine de Montille.

Their puligny caillerets has been thrilling on and off, but not consistently good with their whites, sadly

Their 14s need a lot of time, and I think they’re going through a bit of an odd phase, as these wines can sometimes do. I’m still very high on Montille’s 14s and have buried a bunch of the Perrieres in storage (the one I opened last month was not ready). Am drinking my 10s now, which are in a nice spot. The 14 Corton Charlie I had last year from Montille was spectacular. Personally, I think they’re making better whites than reds at the moment. Maybe it’s Alix’s husband helping out? :stuck_out_tongue:
