Glass for mature Cru Beaujolais

Just wondering what stemware people use for Cru Beaujolais. I’m thinking more about profile and size rather than brand per se.. I tend to use Pinot Noir balloon glass, but do wonder.

I am no expert, but I have mostly used the Grassl Cru I think – so medium sized bowl. Curious if others have had good experience with larger bowls. I think I like the concentration that the medium bowl provides.

i use Zalto Burgundy.

Grassl Cru is great for reds like cru Beau. Before I had them I used the Riedel Oregon Pinot glass, which also works very well for Beau.

Grassl Cru for me.

The best glass for aged Beaujolais is the same as it is for almost any wine - Gabriel Glass Gold. Just no need for anything else

Grassl Cru for me as well.

I agree if you substitute conterno sensory. I use it for everything.

I use it for most Burgundy and Beaujolais wines. For really old Beaujolais, if the wine were a bit fragile, I’d use a smaller glass. I have some very nice 1964 Beaujolais (not even Beaujolais-Villages) that’s very pretty and fruit driven but which would be lost in a glass as big as the Sensory.

(Zalto BDX for younger white Burgundies, mature Rhône, Loire Cab Franc; Zalto Universal for more vinous Champagne (Selosse, Bouchard), dry Riesling, young Rayas; Zalto white wine for other Champagne, lighter whites (Savoie, Loire)).

I like the sensory for champagne, personally. I feel like the focus is on the mousse too much with smaller glasses.

Was going to throw in on a Burg glass as well, think its all in the family there.

I sometimes swap in a Chard glass for things like this that are lighter in structure than a burg, need more open from a wider base for air in something young. Close second.

Another vote for the Zalto Burgundy glass. I use it for almost all younger Pinot, Gamay, and Nebbiolo

I use a burgundy-style glass (Grassl Cru), but a white wine glass (i.e. Grassl Liberte) could work for times when a mature wine needs a bit of focus.
