TN: 2003 Edmond Vatan Sancerre Rouge

    Beautiful bottle of pinot. Didn’t need much time to show well as the lithe red fruits jumped out of the glass from the start. Really delicate and pretty aromas of roses accompanied the cranberry/cherry/pomegranate fruit core. To me, it had these wispy aromas of soy and green pepper that never overwhelmed the red fruit but rather gave it some sort of mysterious edge. This drank a lot better than the last bottle I had (10 years ago). (94 pts.)
