TN: 2014 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes

Bright red, crunchy fruits coupled with plenty of mineral and earth. There’s purple flower perfume and real underlying stoniness. It is precise, beautifully balanced and fine and long.

Jeremy,

I have a tiny number of 2014 Barthod premiers (not this one) and had not thought to crack one yet. Thanks for the data point - very intriguing.

Cheers,
Doug

Tremendous wines. Thanks for the data point.

Nice. I love the 14 reds, many have a lithe texture with on point acidity that I find harmonizes with my palate.

Right on Larry! Love ‘14s. Bright red crunchy fruit… Well said Jeremy

Sounds great. Managed to find some '14 Beaux Bruns last year, and always on lookout for more Barthod. Love the style of the wines. 08 Village Chambolle a few years ago was revelatory and ever since I have been trying to lay my hands on more.

I am actually amazed that this wine was open for business. Had some Barthod in the last couple of years from the late 90’s and they still could have used some time sideways.
