TN: 2009 Turley Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard (USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena)

Many dismiss Petite. They need to taste a well stored Turley Hayne with a little age!

14.5% abv. Very dark purple, expressive aromas. On the palate, ripe plum, black pepper, a hint of white flowers and mint. Extreme intensity, depth and length. The wine is clearly in a long and delicious drinking window. Wild and powerful, but well behaved. Outstanding! (95 pts.)

Just had a 2005 Hayne Vineyard, and it was drinking beautifully. Pepper, spice, and it still had a lot of fruit.

Still have a 2007 Library left to drink.

Shh!
These are still somewhat undiscovered.
Terrific wine. I opened one last week…killer!

Love Hayne dirt! Waiting on a 99 still…

Nothing to see here. Move on!

I usually try to wait 15+ years on the Turley Petits before drinking. Thanks for the tasting note.
