Storage options for German large format bottles

I have only a handful of magnums of German riesling bottles, which I still keep in their shippers in storage because they don’t fit in my weinboxes without jutting out. Does anyone have a good long-term storage solution for these?

Our cellar has racking across the top for larger bottles - I have my German mags up there with the 3L and 5Ls

Any options for a storage unit that doesn’t have wall space for racking?

You won’t get more than three or so of them in there, but you can fit them in weinboxes if you’re creative. The capsule may stick out of the door hole a little haha.

I just keep them in their original boxes. At least they are rectangular.

I agree if he had original boxes. But those mag shippers are huge and waste tons of storage space in the locker.

One option is to track down long boxes that you can pile them in without Styrofoam. Alternate ends and you can get a box that fits 3 or 4.

For the ones with screw caps, I stand them up against the side of the locker. The others I lay down on 2-deep racking.

I am not talking about the shippers, but the individual boxes the mags are often packaged in.
