• 2012 Apsara Cellars Syrah 100% Whole Cluster Las Madres - USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros (1/3/2021)
  Pop n pour in a Grassl 1850. 4hrs in and this wine is singing. Nose of briny black olive, menthol and black cherry. Palate is rich and balanced sporting black fruit notes nasally but red on the tongue with ample acidity, a tobacco earthiness matching its bottle age and fully integrated tannins. The texture is silky smooth and mouth coating. It’s really evolved since my last bottle in 2014 into an exceptional wine. Kudos to Robin!
