What Winebid.com wine are you drinking tonight?

2002 Vigne di Mezzo Aglianico.
$27 all in. Got 2 of them. 19 years old and drinking exceptionally well, but I bet this wine goes 10+ yet. Dark fruits, rich black licorice, tar, earth.

Enjoy! Aged Aglianico is one of those totally underrated gems. Makes me want to login to WineBid to see what I can find

1996 Dunn Cab. Crazy youthful despite being the regular cab, but still delicious

That’s the thing about Winebid. You can find ready to drink, aged gems for not a lot of money.

[cheers.gif] Sounds like a GREAT deal!

Nice!

2012 Verget Saint Véran “Terroirs de Davaye”

“Winebid bottle. This has really come together nicely. Golden color, delightful balance. Acids have faded somewhat. Some river stone on the nose with muted peach purée and honeycomb. Great extract for a wine of this level. It’s a bang up value if one were to have purchased on release. I could see it improving for a couple more years but not much further. Not a lot of acidity remaining, but it’s just lovely now. Impressive.”

$20 pre commission… very pleased
