TN: 2018 Guilhem et Jean-Hugues Goisot Bourgogne Côtes d'Auxerre Corps de Garde Blanc

First time trying a wine from this producer, and impressed by the flavor per dollar ratio. It starts out crunchy and spicy, and finishes with a dash of richness. The general richness of 2018 shows through, but with a fuller body than I might have suspected, rather than just overt heaviness. I have a random selection of bottles to try from this producer. This is an auspicious start.

David,

Nice! I recently purchased some 2018 Saint-Bris from this domaine that I have yet to sample. Your note is encouraging.

Cheers,
Doug

More fruit emerging tonight. Distinct peach note.

They are very good wines. I find them to be a lot like Chablis, with fruit tones running a bit yellower.

I could see that on the aromatics, but the palate is too broad for that comparison IMO.

I agree the resemblance is strongest in the aromatics.

Nearly 48 hours later the last glass is still going strong.
