TN: 2004 François Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

A pale colour with green tinges. The nose is so fresh, with a big squeeze of lemon, some fennel tops, mint and oyster shell. It is direct, compact, powerful and linear. It has terrific complexity and such great cut to the finish. Length of flavour is superb. As good as this wine is now, you feel it is still a decade or two away from its eventual apogee.

Ooh it sounds nummy. Don’t think I’m gonna wait a decade or two for apogee.

I’ve passed my apogee so I better start cracking ‘04, agree they are great. Super note.

Nice report. The allocation for my wine shop is one bottle per year. the shop owner nicely saves it to share with us at some later time (we did a vertical a few years ago).
