TN: 2014 Jean-Claude Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet, Grand Cru

This has the power and thrust of Batard, but is an elegant rendition. Pure of white peach fruit with some spearmint and white flower action too. It has aniseed spice and is rich and sappy but light on its feet. It has near perfect shape in the mouth and oozes minerality on the finish. There’s a gentle uptick of acidity carrying the long finish. Drinking beautifully right now.

You broke into Weinberg’s cellar?

…I’ll be right around - should be there by 10 - sounds perfect!!!

Funny Brian. From the thread title alone I thought “this can only be Jeremy or Alan”. Wasn’t disappointed! Nice note Jeremy!

wish it were Alan.
