TN: 02 Foreau Vouvray Moelleux

I like this a lot; it’s in a nice place now. The color has darkened since I had it 10ish years ago, but looks healthy. The nose has a lot of pineapple and apricot with some citrus and stoniness. Round but not fat on the palate. Sweet, but very balanced with decent acidity and minerality, making it feel light. The person I drank it with knows almost nothing about wine, but she loved it. So a crowd pleaser and a very nice 18 year old Vouvray. Given the balance and youthful feel, it should still age well, but it was a pleasure this evening.

That sounds great Robert - it’s incredible how these age, meaning Vouvray, rather than the individual producer who I am unfamiliar with.

Nice to see you posting again Robert.

ditto!!

Agreed! Good to see you, Robert and I do love the wine. There was no Reserve made that year, so all the late harvest grapes went into the Moelleux.
