TN: 2007 Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin

  • 2007 Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru (2/12/2021)
Opened and followed for 3 hours. Translucent ruby color. Nose of intense violets, cherry pits, raspberry, iron, fine earth. Layers of chiming black cherry, iron particles, sifted earth, and underbrush on the elegant, silky palate. Fine grained tannin and beautifully integrated acidity. Long finish of pristine red fruit, ferric earth, and measured grip. The total package: aristocratic balance of satin-textured fruit and enmeshed noble particulate soil. (94 pts.)
