Sichel: Les chevaliers Montrachet 1969

The color a slightly darkish yellow/orange. Think twenty year old Yquem. When the cork fell in, I was concerned. The nose is a mixture of volatility, beeswax and an apricot liqueur.

Not off putting enough not to taste. But the palate is much better. There is some residual fruit, spice, fino Sherry, but also as much VA as one would find in Madeira. The finish is surprisingly long. To my surprise, I finished a couple of glasses thoroughly enjoying them.
