TN: 2014 Pierre Boisson Meursault

First bottle from a 6-pack. This is spectacular, and everything I want white burgundy to be. The nose is alive and vibrant, with hazelnuts, struck match and mint galore. The palate is fleshy and bright, full of succulent white fruits but matched with a delightful acid streak. The minerality is pronounced, and the wine dances on the tongue. Incredible material and presence for a village wine. I can’t drink Coche with any regularity, but with wines like this in the cellar I’m not so disappointed.

On day 2 this is still rocking. The reduction has largely blown off and left behind a seamless, mineral, acid-driven core. There is still plenty of bright white fruit, and the wine is more textural today than it was before. This toes the line between linear and rich, and does so with grace. I expect the rest of this half case to disappear faster than I expected!

This sounds killer.
