What happened to the Corton forest?

Dear all,

I was wondering if anyone (Burgundy experts ) has more information on the following and can help me. For one of my wine blogs, I was reading about the Bois de Corton, the forest on top of the Corton hill in Burgundy. There were rumors in 2017 that the forest was going to be sold to a rich investor… Then alledgedly a group of vintners joined forces to buy the land on top of the hill to save it from deforestation (and a possible 5 star hotel on top of the hill).
Does anyone have more info on what happened to the forest? Was it sold to the wine growers? I do not seem to be able to find any information on this topic online.

Thanks in advance for any information on this topic!

Have a great day,
Femke
