TN - 2008 Cristal Champagne

This continues to be my benchmark Champagne! It has tiny bubbles that lend to an exquisite appearance and mousse like texture. The nose shows plenty of toasted brioche notes, some yeast, some stone and some grass bones accompanied by citrus note, as well as stone fruit and a faint note of honey or wildflower. The palate is just as enticing with notes of toast, limestone, green apple, pear, melon and a hint of Meyers lemon. The finish is long and impressive, and coerces you into another sip. A great wine and worthy of its hefty price. Still the best Champagne I have ever tasted. 98, no problem
