TN: 2010 Kutch McDougall PN

Decided to open this tonight and treat myself a bit. Well I must be a good boy because Damn! was this tasty. As soon as I removed the cork the red sour cherry aroma dominated my kitchen. Strong nose of sour red cherry, rose petals. earth, spice…simply balanced. On the palate, I found it medium weight, similar flavors, touch of tannin, and a bit of heat which I almost never get with Jamie"s wines. But it does say 13.85% ABV…so it must be his homage to Kosta Browne! [stirthepothal.gif] Nice long finish and it’s my estimate that it has at least 10-15 years ahead of it. I also found it VERY interesting that in texting Roy Piper, he said it was his favorite Kutch cuvee. There are very few palates I respect more!
I’m also lucky to own a mag of 2012 McDougall,it should be tasty in 2040!!!
