TN: 1977 Best's Great Western Claret No.0 Hermitage & Esparte

Just 11.5% alcohol with no shortage of flavour. The nose has some mushroom and earth, coupled with notes of leather, tar and dark fruits. There is a core of juicy blackberry, that intensifies with air. It is fresh and fleshy, with plenty of savoury nuance and some chew and bright acidity to the finish.

Just love old Best Bin 0 wines. Lovely understated wines.

Sounds lovely

Adam Wadewitz put it on for us on Friday night. He was winemaker there before joining Shaw+Smith, and the wine was in splendid condition.
