coming out of its shell, at first acidic and a bit disjointed, with time it came together beautifully. Dark blue fruit, dark cherries, good structure and delicious thick texture, it became a very good wine. No problem opening, lots in reserve. No rusticity.

Very Frickin’ Interesting?
I had a wonderful Maume Mazis 2009 in march 2020 (18,5/20).
Thanks for the note, Alan. I love the Maume Mazis from the past. I haven’t had the new versions from Tawse but would be interested in hearing from those who’ve had them. I suspect that the Mazis is now made in a more modern style.
