Bottle #10 from a brilliant case purchase 5.5 yrs ago…ALL bottles have reached, and most exceeded, the very high standard of quality that is a wine with the name “Roulot” on it! Most have had a mold tipped corked, and a squeaky cork extraction! Bottle 10 shows more butterscotch, butter sauté apple advancement…especially after the very fresh #9 two yrs ago…yet that lemon/lime citrus still beams bright, and just KILLER crushed chalky limestone salts up the orchard fruits…creamy exotic white honey from age…toasted marshmallow, slight flint strike…crushed handful of lime blossoms and white flowers…the wine gains in geology with air…more rocks and vine struggle…yet the pureness of the fruit is evident. Drinks SO well…with just a skinny whinny tad bit of the ox showing…which is perfectly acceptable at age 14. Ok…another successful bottle! I’m going to be heartbroken when these are gone! (94 pts.)
