TN: 2019 Morgen Long Chardonnay Dundee Hills

Slightly less flinty reduction on the nose than many of Seth’s other 2019s. Aromas of candied lime peel, dried orange, flint, and sea breeze are prominent, with occasionally some green apple and pear that can be coaxed with further aeration in the glass. Upon tasting there are delicate citrus, pear, underripe pineapple, and graham cracker notes beautifully interwoven with chalk and steel minerals. Like the other 2019s, the wine is fresh and vibrant on the palate, with great balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. Though the mineral tones build and firm up over the wine’s long finish, they remain refined and poised. Another knockout wine from Seth! (94 pts.)
