Tried this over the weekend:

Chateau Suduiraut AC: Sauternes (MeBaC; 14%; www.Suduiraut.com; VintageImports/Denver) Preignac 2017: Med.dark gold color; intense ripe peach/botrytis/apricotty loads of botrytis some figgy/Semillon light butterscotchy/Fr.oak/caramel some dusty/earthy/OV beautiful fragrant nose; quite tart very sweet intense botrytis/peachy/apricotty some Fr.oak/butterscotchy some figgy/Semillon quite structured bit complex flavor; very long/lingering intense botrytis/peachy/apricotty/botrytis some butterscotchy/Fr.oak rather acid fairly sweet some complex rather structured finish; a classic very young Sauternes at a great price. $49.00/hlf (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a young Sauternes like this. I was quite struck by its acidity/structure. This will go out 10-30 yrs. Which means no sense for me to buy much of this.
