Peculiar. I know I don’t hate this but I’m not sure I like it. We drank this alongside some brut ciders to go with my wife’s galettes bretonnes (complètes, of course). There are similarities. Initially dry, super tight, mineral, short and simple; fruitwise, it’s all apples. With a little air and time, it’s a little less shy: it’s showing some honey, quince and a very mineral side (river rocks, petrichor). But it stays short. The last glass was starting to show more interest but it still didn’t get my full attention. Maybe this could surprise me after a 10 year slumber. It might. But I won’t be buying again.
