2005 Michele Chiarlo Barolo Riserva Tortoniano - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (1/21/2022)
Very nice, fully mature, modern Barolo. Took a minute in the decanter for a bit of funk to dissipate (very little sediment, btw). Nose is bright with sweet cherries, sage brush, leather, roses, iodine. Full, rich palate, nicely resolved tannins, medium weight on the mid-palate, with a short finish. (90 pts.)
