It’s 9 degrees. I better not get any bottles.

What’s the purpose/intent of this thread? If it’s to imply that producers are lazy/disorganized because they haven’t sent your wine out within a week, that’s ridiculous. I know, for example, that some wines sold on B-Day aren’t even bottled yet. Hopefully the intent isn’t to kvetch.

I've shipped out already bottled wines to those on the West Coast only - holding all others for awhile. And yep, I do have to bottle many others offered.

Heading to the East Coast tomorrow - hoping for a warming trend.

Cheers.

Thankfully, no. It would be criminal to ship with these temperatures, and I haven’t made space in the cellar yet.

One package has arrived so far. It’s a little cold to ship to Connecticut right now. The one that arrived only had a one day trip from NY.

I’ve received one order (sent and received in California). Expect a couple more in the next week or two. Several haven’t been bottled yet, they will come eventually.

That was how I read your post. I haven't gotten anything yet, but I ordered the de Negoce "Mystery Case" and it's been shipped and expected to arrive Tuesday. Probably won't pop anything right away, though.

I have one shipment on its way. No notice on the other five orders. Or is it six? [scratch.gif] I'd expect them to ship sometime in March, so not even looking for them.

One shipment went out from CA and was scheduled to arrive on Friday. Looks like it’s stuck in Chicago at the moment. Evening temps many nights recently have been in the single digits or below zero here in upstate NY. In fact we were -10 twice in the last week. I’m in no hurry for things to arrive.

Not yet but I wasn't expecting any. I did receive my order from the Smoking Goose via UPS. FedEx seems to have lost my order from Morgan Ranch. In fact, just a few minutes ago, I received an email from FedEx saying that my Morgan Ranch shipment is scheduled to be delivered YESTERDAY between 12:28pm and 4:28pm. That will be some trick if FedEx pulls that off.

Wine shipments are Location specific. We are in a cold snap here in NJ so I don’t expect shipping to start my way until March

As mentioned above, some purchases haven’t been bottled yet. I always tell the wineries to hold and ship all together.

Many folks have received their Morgan ranch and Flannery steaks. No weather hold on those

Hope you enjoy your purchases when they arrive

Some good notes in “Has anyone been drinking BereserkerDay Wines lately” thread

    Ah, ok, got it.
The bottom line is that it is highly variable. For example, I have already gotten three shipments, and got an email that another one will not come until March. So, unless they’ve told you to expect it in a certain time frame, I’d give the wineries another week or two to sort things out, then inquire. Also, might re-read the initial offers in the forum, as sometimes they mention anticipated shipping windows.

got an email from UPS saying one of my shipments wd arrive on this past Wednesday..As far as I can tell from tracking it, it still hasn't been picked up at winery yet..Looks like UPS label prepared but no pickup..My guess is that winery held off due to the impending storm which appears to have ended earlier today, probably will ship next week.

Having steaks rather than wine to ship in January and February is a bit of a blessing. However, I'm following several packages that aren't getting delivered. They left the ranch and seem to have fallen straight into icepocalypse. Frustrating for both the producer and the receiver.

Didn’t really want to post just yet, but I have a BD order from another food participant I’m tracking. Got a shipping notice Tuesday evening. Wednesday said it would be delivered Friday… and then it disappeared. Finally today, Saturday, it showed up in to the burbs. Still no update on delivery (although I know it’s got to be Monday now). The shop is one state over, and a 3-4 hour drive.

I will ship most next week, but holding off any extreme weather states until it heats up just a tiny bit. Cool is good, but bottle-shatteringly cool might be too much. Some have reached out and need it for a specific date even though they're in cold snap states, so will try to oblige those.

    Oh, Suzor came!

I can wait, more worried about the middle of the country. I won’t freak out irregardless.

I got a tracking notice through FedEx on Wednesday that it was being picked up, and it was delivered on Saturday without any issues.

I'm in this boat as well, but all of my orders are coming from CA. They can wait a bit and I won't mind.

I received a Sabelli-Frisch 2-pk today (I hope it didn’t sit on the truck overnight), but I think it was an mistake on my part. I asked for all my wine orders to wait until late March/April to ship. I must not have noted this when I ordered this particular one. I still have a case coming from S-B, but I’m pretty sure I requested a delay.

Rick - I haven't gotten to your full case shipment yet, but was planning on this week - do you want me to put a hold on it until March? In my mind Colorado was always a 'no delay' shipping state even in winter, but perhaps that's not wise?

    Oh, Suzor came!
Adam thanks for having some common sense. Never understood a winery that ships to the Midwest this time a year. In a month shipping conditions will be fine. [cheers.gif]

Unfortunately, it's hard to find a leg to stand on sometimes. All the wine lovers and regulars on this forum get all that about temps and weather, but many customers that are perhaps not as used to it get upset that the wine hasn't shipped immediately. Kinda damned if you do, damned if you don't. And I get it - the wine industry is perhaps one of the few places where we regularly accept and buy futures, in essence. We pay for something that might not even have been bottled or released yet. I can see how that's a scary on foreign concept to someone who's used to getting the goods they pay for Primed the day after.
