Got the Riverain '19 Cab, tasted it last night. Young but so delicious, enough power and great balance!

I have never had this many issues getting wine shipped from Berserker Day. Has anyone had deliveries from Chiron? They won't respond to emails.

Yes, I got both Chiron and Black Powder a while ago. Reach out to @Bobby Moy and he will help you out. They were holding mine for temp reasons and was able to arrange delivery. And they are great! While I wait for Ladd, drinking the 2017 Chardonnay now.
PNP. Delicious. Lemon peel, bright, ripe fruit, balanced with good minerality, just a hint of oak helps round out the mouthfeel. Long, tart finish. Bravo!

Re: Did you get your BD13 bottles yet? Yay/Nay/Meh?
Brief shoutout to Emily Richter for Virage. I was cooking some Morgan Ranch ribeyes and a strip and wanted to pop a Napa Cab. I had a 2012 sitting there staring at me from B-Day. What a lovely wine. Not overly wrought, not too big, but lovely complexity with black and red fruit, a nice savory element, perfectly integrated soft oak spice notes, and nice structure. It will age gracefully for another decade, but was just what I was looking for with the steaks (reverse sear to dead on medium rare) with really nice fruit still the showcase, but with that edge of savory and structure present.
I can't help but enjoy Virage and think that this is how cabs were structured when I first got into wine in the mid-late 90s vintages, back when a Laube 92 was high praise.

Re: Did you get your BD13 bottles yet? Yay/Nay/Meh?
Best compliment ever! Funny, last night, I finally finished all my BerserkerDay Quickbooks data entry (note to self: make discount structure less complicated next year, please!!), reconciled the bank accounts, yay, and to celebrate meeting the Q1 sales tax deadline (I know, I need to get a life), I secured myself a tri-tip dinner paired with 2012 Virage. So good, I had to scold myself for ever thinking this wine wouldn't age well. I think I had a bottle that was 'cooked' or something, it seemed closer to the end of it's drinking window, hence all the notes in your shipments that said, "Drink 12 first." Although I do think the 10 and 11 may outlive it, this is splitting hairs. I now struggle to choose a favorite among 10-11-12.K John Joseph wrote: ↑April 26th, 2022, 11:49 am Brief shoutout to Emily Richter for Virage. Re: Did you get your BD13 bottles yet? Yay/Nay/Meh?
Still haven't gotten my Ladd order in
The Sun Break wines didn't last long and we enjoyed the whole lineup. Their Vermouth blew me away - and never bothered to even make a cocktail with it since it was excellent on the rocks.
Popped open some of the Franny Beck wines recently and I am very impressed so far. Had no expectations when we opened the Pinot Noir En noir et blanc and the best way I describe that wine in one word is "happy".
Been slowly tying out the Red Newt wines - I found the dry and semi-sweet Rieslings to be the ones I enjoyed the most. The Cab Franc was not what I was expecting, felt more like a warm day by the lake type of wine than a burger wine. My view on inexpensive FL wines have changed for the better after trying these.
Overall I can say the BD13 purchases I made were a very positive Yay!![cheers [cheers.gif]](./images/smilies/cheers.gif)

Have not received my Ladd order, just sent another inquiry.
All others arrived. I particularly enjoyed the Cadence wines, and the extra club discount on the Big Basin bottles.

Anyone heard anything about the Grassl glasses? I emailed CJF for an update (was last told late Feb-March as an ETA), but haven't heard back yet. Curious if anyone else has any insight into the timing. Thanks.

The only one I'm lacking as well. Sent an email a week or so ago, no response. Hope all is well.Peter Shurman wrote: ↑May 7th, 2022, 7:12 pm Received all with one exception ... 6 bottles of Paetra Pinot Blanc.
New finds from BD, Shiba Wichern (very nice sparkling, the Auxerrois is lovely) and Sun Break (love the Vermouth and some Rose we ordered after). Letting all the reds sit for now.

Assuming you were in the first tranche of orders, seems like they'll be delivered next week.Cargo is being delivered this afternoon to our warehouse after the journey by water, rail, two semis and two warehouses. We are expected to shipping the May 23rd.
The VYCE giveaway will include 2 Wine Tumblers and 2 Rock Tumblers. Due to issues going on in Eastern Europe, production of the VYCE glassware has been delayed on these glasses so we will be sending these later in the year. An email blast will go out with more details shortly.

Thanks, Evan. I got a similar response from CJF, so seems like everything is moving along. I imagine there have been supply chain issues for the glasses, like for so many other things lately.

I did get my order a few weeks back. It did take a couple of back and forths, but everything worked out. If I remember this was a late arrival last year as well.
