TN: 2019 Joseph Colin Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes Blanc

After a couple of Chassagnes and a Bourgogne Blanc I decided to try a St. Aubin in my novice exploration of white Burgundy. No way I’m making any declarations based on 4 bottles, other than so far so good and I’m enjoying the exercise.

Pale yellow hue. Scents of lemon and mineral and white fruit, maybe pear. Tart acid bounce on top of a full bodied palate, some viscosity there as well adds richness. It feels like the parts are speaking but talking past each other right now. I think this is a good wine and some time in the bottle will bring the elements closer together.
