100% Grenache. Popped with a little chill on it. Wonderfully aromatic nose of brandied cherries and pomegranate. On the palate, it was a bit more savory, with earthy, anise notes sitting on top of a macerated black cherry base. The finish was long and lingering, bringing back that brandied cherry flavor from the nose. With my pork cutlet dinner, the fruit actually popped a little more on the finish (I can totally see the reference one review made to this wine as a “Grenjolais”). Very enjoyable!
