Two Champagnes

A while ago we had 2012 Dom Perignon and 2015 Roederer Rose. Both were very nice. The Dom was actually more then very nice. For me this is better then the 2008 and probably as enjoyable as anything since 1996. Great fruit of pear and lemon, beautiful toasty brioche, lots of minerality and just lots of length on the finish. Have six more purchased before the price hikes, but this is the first Dom my wife really likes so let’s see how long it lasts. On the other hand Krug and Cristal will survive a bit longer.
The Roederer Rose is very nice, a rich and full champagne, with lots of dark berry flavors and aromas, and a long creamy finish. Probably would be a good match with some some Toro or a nice fatty salmon sashimi. But it was not a fair match against the 2012 Dom😳
