TN: 2007 Domaine Buisson-Charles Meursault 'Cras' 1er

I have a confession to make. I haven’t loved all of the B-C wines that I have had, but certainly most of them. They can be quite broad shouldered and old school, but always full of flavour and never premoxed in my experience. The wines from the noughties often had quite dark colours and I often wondered how they would age.
Well this '07 Cras was stonkingly good. Acid has softened, and it’s quite pale and and just a light gold in colour. There’s a hint of nougat but it’s all softening white stone fruits, nuts and just the merest hints of little white mushrooms. Just lovely. Certainly has benefited from storage at 12-14C, and now I want to bust a few other older B-Cs.
