1995 Ch. Fierrere

Have been following this neat Margaux bottling for the last 6 years. Opening a bottle a year and checking its’ progress. This lil’ hummer is just about at TTOIG. Lovely brite ruby with red fruits, meat, saddle leather and sweet spices hitting the schnozz and all coming over on the palate. Neat entry, solid center and a 4&1/2 lapper finish. The rest of this box will be history in the next 4-5. VB

Thanks for the note Verne. I have been wanting to open one of these for awhile. Sounds like I will be popping one soon!

I have the 00 in the cellar. Maybe give it a try in 3-5 years.

I served this wine out of magnum around 6 weeks ago.
It was perfect for the occasion as it had a richness of fruit that pleased the non-oenophiles, but enough recognizably Margaux features to appear to the wine geeks.
Not an overly complex wine, but a good wine to drink over the coming years with simply prepared foods.
